Body of Woman Found in Lake in Navi Mumbai: A heartbreaking news has come to light in Navi Mumbai area of Mumbai, in which the body of a 19-year-old girl has been found inside a lake. This incident happened on Wednesday evening when some fishermen were passing by a school near Belapur, when they saw a dead body in the lake, they immediately informed the local police. The deceased girl has been identified as Bhavika Maurya, who was a student of a college in Nerul. Information has revealed that Bhavika was in a love affair with Swastik Patil, a resident of Panvel, who is 22 years old.

Based on the CCTV footage, it has been found that Swastik Patil and Bhavika came to the lake around 4:30 pm on Wednesday evening but did not return home after that because only the footage of their departure is seen in the CCTV. Police said that before the body was found near the lake, Swastik Patel killed Maurya by strangulating her. Then in the preliminary investigation, it was also revealed that Swastik killed the girl by strangulating her and threw the body in the lake, after which he committed suicide himself.
Police said that the matter is being thoroughly investigated and the reason for Swastik Patil’s suicide is being confirmed. Police immediately registered a case of accidental death and sent the body for postmortem to confirm the cause of death and the family members of both have been called and questioned.
