On the night of 28 July 2024, two children died due to water filling in the basement of Rouse IAS Coaching Center located in Old Rajendra Nagar, Delhi, under which the police, taking heavy action, has sent a notice to the MCD to provide information as soon as possible about who had prepared the drainage system on behalf of the Municipal Corporation.

In the notice sent by Delhi Police, they said that the responsibility of the drainage system has been given to an officer and it was also said that the information about who took the responsibility of its cleanliness should be provided as soon as possible.
The negligence of the drainage system is being cited as the reason for the accident at the IAS coaching center located in Old Rajendra Nagar, Delhi. The people present there will also be questioned because the person who was given the responsibility of cleaning it would have been able to give better information about the negligence due to which the water could not drain out.
The MCD team of Delhi Municipal Corporation also sealed the illegal coaching centers in which it was found that 14 coaching institutes and offices were being run illegally in the basement, due to which two children have lost their lives.
