Sabarmati Express derailed: 17 August 2024: A serious rail accident occurred near Kanpur this morning. The Sabarmati Express train collided with a heavy boulder, causing 22 bogies of the train to derail. At around 6 am, when the Sabarmati Express reached a railway track near Kanpur, suddenly a huge boulder hit the train engine. The boulder was lying on the track, and due to that the engine of the train was badly damaged. Due to this, 22 bogies of the train were derailed and some bogies overturned.
