On 24 June 2017, he was shot dead at midnight in Malasar of Churu district in a raid conducted by the Special Operations Group Anti-Terrorist Squad (India) of Rajasthan Police, due to which his supporters started a loud movement and opposed the police administration, his family members and lawyers said that he wanted to surrender but the police killed him in an encounter.

In 1999, he contested the election for Panchayat Samiti member of Sanvarad village and he won that election and later contested the election for the Pradhan of Ladnu Panchayat Samiti in which he lost.
